i hate creating new bloggy things. having to hash out stuff about myself while attempting to sound witty or charming is always a task. and after long blank stares at the computer screen i just embrace the fact that i am boring.
in other news....
i like the '90's. a lot. almost so much that i've accepted the fact that i merely like the "just rolled out of bed look" - all while being convinced it's sexy. i like the music (mostly underground '90's, but whatever), and the style (washed up, torn jeans, flannel shirt thingy - i'm so cliche). sometimes, when it's rainy and dreary out - i like to pretend i live in a more beautiful place, like portland or seattle (i know, i know - i'm pathetic). but i don't care.
when i was 15 i saw lisa loeb live in concert. she was simply adorable and it was 1995. since then, i have been on a mad hunt for some cats-eye glasses so that i could be just.like.her. i know that searching high and low in the greater michiana area doesn't realllly count as searching for anything, because you'll never find ANYTHING - but to me, i was doing my best with the resources that i had (mind you, the internet - at that time, only existed for rich people). i obviously came out with nothing any time that i did have money and time to search. even now.
last winter, after a bit of a hiatus, i found that lisa loeb was creating an eyeglass line. i immediately signed up for alerts and such regarding the release and made sure to have enough money in my bank account to buy at least two pairs of wicked cats-eye glasses. her line was due to release in spring of 2010. it's now fall/winter 2010 and i just received my alert. the line is open!
you can imagine my disappointment when i opened the website to find this:

ugh. if lisa loeb realizes we're no longer in the '90's, then maybe i should too.
so.fucking.bummed.
oh yea, it's thanksgiving. happy thanksgiving.
