Stayed in last night and ate a ton of snacks with Annie and Ray.  Played cards and watched the ball drop on TV.  Seems pretty uneventful to you, but to me, it was perfect.

It rained all day yesterday - thunderstorm during the day.  It melted all of the snow and it was about 40 degrees all evening.  It was pretty neat.

Going to lounge around the rest of the day because I have to work tomorrow and working any more just puts me on my ass for an entire day.  So tired - all of the time.

Ray is painting the baby's room today.  It looks great.  I picked a slate grey with white boarders and such.  I'll probably accent with yellow.  I was going for more of a vintage/antique-y feel.  This was the plan regardless of gender.  It looks nice, thus far, and I'm pleased.  We began registering the other day and nothing has ever made me feel more inept to have a child.  Another human being - who the hell would allow this honor to be bestowed upon me?  The laundry list of items that, apparently, I need for the baby was shit I knew nothing about.  I wanted to break down in the middle of the store.  Ray had a blast, with the gun scanner thingy.  I have no clue what half of the stuff he scanned was - I just let him enjoy.  He reassured me that I'll be a great mom and figure it out as it all unfolds.  I still wanted to curl up in a ball and cry.  I do, however, feel better - now.  I'm sure I'll be fine.  I may or may not have scanned everything in the first aid aisle that a baby would need if any sort of ailment happen to occur.  I'm going to be one paranoid mother.  Oh lord.
